While there are fewer ice types than other categories, they are some of the most popular Pokemon amongst trainers for their ice attacks (which are effective against grass, dragon, and flying types). But trainers don’t choose Pokemon based on just battle strength: these are the 10 cutest ice type Pokemon to have on your team.

1. Spheal

Mix a sphere and a seal and you get the ball of cuteness that is the spheal. It mainly gets around by rolling across ice floes, which has to be the most adorable way of moving out of all the Pokemon! The Spheal’s final form is the Walrein, a fearsome walrus-like creature, so enjoy the cute while you can.

2. Glaceon

Glaceon is an evolution of the adorable Eevee, which already gives it cute points. As a four-footed mammalian with pointy ears and a tail, Glaceon looks similar to a fox, a cat, or a dog —  all cute animals! Unlike real-world animals though, Glaceon’s fur comes in shades of blue, and it has two diamond-shaped flaps dangling from either side of its head. It is a quiet and kind Pokemon, with the power to create stunning auroras when it howls. Amaura evolves into the equally cute Aurorus.

Snom is a friendly Pokemon, which loves to eat. It can only be levelled up into Frosmoth when it has high friendship, which can be obtained by feeding it lots of curries!

Swinub looks like a rotund little piggy. It is covered with shaggy brown bristles and has a little pink snout. It’s known for being shy, but friendly with the trainers who succeed in catching it. What makes it even cuter is that this baby boar is always sleepy. It’s constantly curling up into a ball to take a snooze.

Cubchoo is a bobble-headed bear cub, which seems to have a perpetual cold, as its nose is always dripping. While it later evolves into the fully-grown, and much fiercer, Beartic, this bear cub looks exactly like a blue and white teddy bear. Who wouldn’t want to cuddle with such a cute Pokemon?
