Top Five White-Haired Anime Boys

A simple side profile of Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen, a white-haired anime boy with blue eyes and round black glasses.

White-haired anime boys are very popular in Japanese pop culture. They’re admired by female audiences for their cute, cool and sometimes even mysterious personalities. But which ones stand out the most? Read on to find which ones made it to YumeTwins’ top five!

1. Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Satoru Gojo is one of the main male characters of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is known as the best special-grade jujutsu (cursed energy) sorcerer in the world, making him somewhat of a magical boy. He is also heir of the prestigious Gojo family, who inherited both rare types of jujutsu: the Limitless and the Six Eyes.

Satoru is actually a handsome tall guy with sparkling blue eyes but he normally wears a black blindfold over his eyes and a dark purple sorcerer suit. He also wears sunglasses and lets his short white hair down while wearing a more casual outfit.

In addition to the ability to use two powerful types of jujutsu, Satoru is also an intelligent jujutsu sorcerer. He is extremely good at strategizing, which helps him quickly determing opponent’s fighting plans with just a little information. Therefore, he has a tendency to come up with exact counter techniques and suitable ways to defeat numerous rivals without applying his maximum jujutsu.

2. Shoto Todoroki (My Hero Academia)

Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academic is a little different than other characters on this list. His hair isn’t fully white but rather half-white and half-red instead. This is because they represent the two superpowers (or “quirks”, as they’re called in-series) he inherited from his parents: fire and ice powers.

Because of these superpowers, Shoto is recognized as one of the strongest at his high school. He can utilize both fire and ice abilities harmoniously, yet, overusing them will quickly wear him out.

At first, Shoto was a very apathetic, unsociable, and eccentric person. But, with the help of main protagonist Izuku Midoriya , Shoto started to open up more to his classmates and then has a strong will to become a different kind of hero, even if it goes against his own father’s expectations.

3. Ken Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul)

Ken used to rock the anime and manga world once with his cool looks and extraordinary strength. He is the main protagonist of both Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:re. Also known as Sasaki Haise, Kaneki is a one-eyed ghoul with unfathomable power.

His original hair color is dark brown but then it turned fully white along with the transformation of the whole body after he mentally adapted to the new power which is the ghoul’s power. These changes truly made his overall look more unique and manly.

Among many white hair anime boys, Ken Kaneki is a character who has the most unusual personality change. At first, he was a shy and extremely gentle boy who loved reading novels.

Sadly, after being tormented by Yamori, Ken became more stonyhearted and cruel, ready to crush those who touched him. When living as Haise Sasaki, he was introverted, insecure, and loyal to only work. Then after Haise recalled his memories of when he was Ken Kaneki, he again became violent and lost control.

4. N/Near (Death Note)

Nate River, also known as N or “Near”, is a popular character from the show Death Note. He was brought up in the same orphanage as L – another notable character. Similar to L, this young man is the intelligent and clever leader of the SPK Detectives. He was then responsible for pursuing the main character Kira, for using the Death Note against known criminals.

N is a white-haired anime boy who usually appears in a rumpled long-sleeved shirt and sloppy white pants. He relates the investigation process to puzzle solving, so playing with Lego figures became his favorite whenever N considered his plan or next steps to capture Kira.

Besides his genius ability, N is also tranquil, calm, and trustworthy. Above all, N doesn’t play by the rules, as solving the case is his top priority.

5. Sesshomaru (Inuyasha)

Despite the fact that Sesshomaru is an antagonist character in the classic anime Inuyasha, his charming looks leave a strong impression on many anime lovers, especially female audiences. Because of this, he’s even more popular than his younger brother, who is the main titular character of the show!

Though Sesshomaru usually appears as a handsome human with long white hair, red stripes on his cheeks with a fluffy scarf, he is actually a powerful demon, known as the “Beast King”.

Although Sesshomaru has been a horrifying great demon in the feudal world, he fully gives his care to the orphaned human girl Rin and protects her from all harm, even if means going against his own mother.

There are still lots of legendary white-haired anime boys who haven’t been on our list yet, and many others that just waited to be created. Did your favorite character make it to the list? Is there anyone else you would add to it? Let us konw in the comments below!
