Yooka-Replaylee

A complete remaster of the original 2017 platformer, Yooka-Laylee, Yooka-Replaylee looks to be the perfect kind of game to help usher in the Switch 2. As the titular characters, players must jump, fly, swing, and battle to retrieve pages from the One Book. Fun fact: Yooka-Laylee is the spiritual successor to the Nintendo classic Banjo Kazooie!

Of particular note about Yooka-Replaylee is how it was announced for “Nintendo” and not specifically for the Switch, making it likely to be a Switch 2 release. Mascot platformers and Nintendo have long been a match made in gaming heaven. 

Mario Kart

Nintendo unveiled footage of a brand-new, though unnamed, Mario Kart game during its Switch 2 reveal. The new racer has no name, and little is known about it. However, considering Mario Kart 8 was one of the original console’s biggest and most popular games, it would make sense for Nintendo to release a ninth iteration on their new platform.

Bestiario

Bestiario is a classic RPG that pays homage to the PS1 era of gaming. It is an indie game with a very cool aesthetic. Playing as a young man with his hellhound companion, players must travel through monster-filled locations and engage in turn-based RPG combat. 

The story is set in a post-pandemic Spain. Players control a diverse group of hunters. Their mission is to solve supernatural mysteries and fight creatures from Spanish folklore.
