Huis Ten Bosch (Nagasaki)

Huis Ten Bosch is a charming theme park located in Nagasaki Prefecture. Its unique and picturesque Dutch-style architecture sets this park apart from other theme parks in Japan. If you love fascinating Japan theme parks, you’ll find plenty to adore at Huis Ten Bosch.

This park will transport you to a quaint Dutch village with windmills, canals, and flower-filled gardens. At the Nago Pineapple Park, you’ll explore acres of lush pineapple fields and learn about this tropical fruit’s history and cultivation. You can ride on the Pineapple Train! It’s a cute and colorful train that takes you through the fields and provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

There’s even a Pineapple Chopstick Challenge, where you can test your chopstick skills by picking up pineapples!

For those feeling more adventurous, there are also several fun attractions and activities to try. You can challenge yourself on the Pineapple Rope Course, where you can zip through the fields. On the other hand, you can have a blast on the Pineapple Boat. Here, you can ride through a water canal on a pineapple-shaped boat.

Nago Pineapple Park is a charming and unique destination celebrating Okinawa’s tropical fruit culture. If you like pineapples or Okinawa, you will have a great time at this park!

Ghibli Park (Aichi)

The Ghibli Park in Aichi Prefecture is finally open! The park opened its doors to the public in November 2022. Fans of Studio Ghibli worldwide have been eagerly visiting to explore its many attractions.

It’s spread over vast land within the Aichi Expo Memorial Park. Moreover, it’s divided into five distinct zones, each inspired by a different Studio Ghibli film. Visitors can explore the fantastical world of hit films such as My Neighbor Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Princess Mononoke.

More specifically, one of the park’s highlights is the Dondoko Forest area, inspired by the forest scenes in My Neighbor Totoro. Here, you can explore the replica of the iconic camphor tree and climb through the forest canopy on a net-like structure. You can even ride on the Catbus, a cute and iconic character from the film.

Another must-visit attraction is the Witches’ Valley, a recreation of the witch’s home from Kiki’s Delivery Service. Visitors can wander through the charming streets of the valley, explore the witch’s house, and even take a ride on a broomstick!

Several restaurants and cafes at the park also serve delicious food and drinks inspired by the films. Visitors can enjoy a Totoro-shaped cream puff or a bowl of ramen from Ponyo, among other tasty treats. This makes Ghibli Park one of the most interesting Japan theme parks!
