Do you remember our past article about kawaii bedrooms? If you don’t have your own kawaii bedroom yet, you can experience how it feels by staying at these kawaii-themed hotel rooms!

1. Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo - Hello Kitty, My Melody & Little Twin Star

When you step into the lobby, you will be greeted by this cute Hello Kitty mascot!

Hello Kitty is one of Japan’s most popular characters, so Keio Plaza Hotel celebrated Hello Kitty's 40th birthday back in 2014 in a big way. They prepared eight Hello Kitty special themed rooms that are still available today. The massive hotel occupies two high-rise towers in the vibrant Shinjuku district.

There are four Kitty Town rooms created for kids and four Princess Kitty rooms that were designed for adults. Almost all the items inside the room have Hello Kitty and the color pink. If you sleep here, you can even take home some Hello Kitty items: Hello Kitty letter writing sets, Keio Plaza Hotel original Hello Kitty doll, Hello Kitty ribbon water, Hello Kitty pen, Hello Kitty plastic bag, Hello Kitty skincare set, and Hello Kitty slippers. Quite worth the money, right?

Nightly rate: starts from ¥37,228 for 2 people.

In June 2019, Keio Plaza Hotel Tama prepared another two Sanrio themed rooms: My Melody and Little Twin Star! My Melody rooms are created in the image of the innocent, cheerful and loving nature of the character playing hide and seek in a forest. Little Twin Stars rooms are created with various images of Kiki and Lala playing at the amusement park on clouds. Also, if you stay here you can reach the Sanrio Puroland theme park in 5 minutes by walking!

Nightly rate: starts from ¥59,400 for 2 people.

2. Ikenotaira Hotel (Nagano) - Dokidoki Precure

For those of you who don’t know Dokidoki Precure, it’s a children’s magical girl anime about a world where everyone's hearts lived happily under the guidance of their ruler Princess Marie Ange until she suddenly got attacked. A group of young girl warriors have to go to earth to find the missing princess and save everyone before it's too late.

If you book this room with your child and pay the full price, you can take the following goodies home: handbag, handkerchief, mug, coloring book, and special toys. They even have a costume for children who want to pretend to be the kawaii warriors. Perfect getaway for Precure fans.

Ikenotaira Hotel is located at the Shirakaba Resort in Nagano Prefecture.

Nightly rate: starts from ¥12,000 for 2 people.

3. Hotel Verde (Kumamoto) - Kumamon

Kumamon, the rosy-cheeked bear, is the mascot of Kumamoto Prefecture. No wonder, you can find this Kumamon themed room in Verde Hotel, Kumamoto. You can find Kumamon everywhere, on the wall paintings, bedsheets, pillows, stuffed animals, and even lampshades! Just remember, Kumamon is always watching.. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Nightly Rate: start from  ¥15,600 for 2 people.

4. Highland Resort (Yamanashi) - Gaspard and Lisa

Although Gaspard and Lisa is a British cartoon, we all could agree that this room is very kawaii! You can find it in the Highland Resort located in Yamanashi prefecture not far from Tokyo. You can choose whether you want to stay in Gaspard’s room or Lisa's room.

As an added bonus, if you stay here you can get priority admission to Fuji-Q Highland amusement park (with views of Mt. Fuji and award-winning roller coasters aplenty!) 15 minutes before the gate opens. Additionally, you'll receive Free Admission for the Fujiyama Onsen.

After you check-in, don’t forget to visit the restaurant, which is Gaspard and Lisa themed as well!

Nightly Rate: starts at ¥48,000 for Lisa’s room and ¥58,000 for Gaspard’s room.
